A travel disaster, written by 8 people simultaneously.
Phone reads an opener — "The night bus broke down at midnight. The next one wasn't until morning." Then it picks a random player. They add one sentence. Phone picks the next random player. Sentence 7 must escalate. Sentence 10 must end the story. Group votes the weakest sentence at the end.
Fair for any group size.
Phone uses a random shuffle (not in order). Even with 10+ players, no one gets skipped. And no one knows when their turn is coming.
Sentence 7 = climax. 10 = end.
The structure forces narrative arc. By sentence 7 you HAVE to add stakes. By 10 you HAVE to land the ending. Otherwise it's pure improv chaos.
Group judges contributions.
After sentence 10, group votes who broke the story or whose sentence was weakest. That player takes a dare. Adds friendly competitive pressure to commit.
